Nigerian veteran singer, Tony Tetuila, has officially cleared the aired over him and Tic from Ghana, suing Wizkid alongside Dj Tunez over their intellectual Rights.
The singer made these statement via his instagram page about himself and artiste Tic (formally known as Tic Tac) from Ghana to sue Wizkid and Dj Tunez at the Nigerian Federal High Court, for violating their intellectual property Rights from their song Fefe n’efe .
They accused Wizkid and Dj Tunes of using their line in ‘ Gbese ‘ song.
His line, “Fefe N’efe was violated according to him. The singer narrated.
Tony also narrated that, their Lawyer has adviced them not to comment any further.
But the pititions stating, Tic and Tony Tetuila are seeking damages to the tune of N30,000,000 equivalent to GH?473,379.29 ($82,758.62)
They are also seeking 35% of both digital sales and royalties DJ Tunez and Wizkid received from the song.
According to the plaintiffs, Wizkid had sampled their song ‘Fefe Ne Efe’ released in 2004 but failed to pay for it.
