Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has told the National Identity Management Commission(NIMC) that proper registration and documentation of all Nigerians will help the state and federal government to plan effectively and improve security in the country.

He stated this while receiving officials of the National Identity Management Commission(NIMC) in his office yesterday, in Asaba, the Delta State capital, as part of activities to mark the National Identity Management Commission’s day.

Governor Okowa told the commission that everyday should be a National Identity Management Commission’s day.

He also said it is his fervent hope that the NIMC would continue to work to ensure more Nigerians are properly registered emphasizing that with a comprehensive database of all citizens, sustainable development policies across the board will be developed.

“It is my fervent hope that NIMC will continue to work to ensure that more Nigerians are properly registered, so that with a comprehensive database of all our citizens, we can develop sustainable development policies across the board”. He added.
