Supreme Court Victory: Vindication of Gov. Okowa’s Landslide Victory – Omimi Esquire

Coming on the heels of the Supreme Court verdict which has affirmed Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as the winner of the Saturday, March 9th, 2019 Delta Guber polls.

The Political Adviser to the Governor, Omimi Esquire has said the nation’s apex court ruling has finally vindicated the Governor’s land slide outing and acceptability by the vast majority of Deltans.

Reacting to the outcome after a thanksgiving service to mark the Governor’s victory at the Government House Chapel in Asaba, Omimi Esquire posited that the Tribunal, Appeal Court and now Supreme Court verdicts has finally put paid to all speculations as to who the authentic winner of the Delta 2019 Governorship election is.

The Political Adviser said, the Supreme Court victory of the Governor has also validated the incontrovertible fact that Deltans freely gave their mandate to him (Okowa) as could be attested to by the landslide outcome across the three Senatorial districts of the State.

“With all litigations concerning the Saturday, March 9th, 2019 Delta Governorship polls put to an end by the Supreme Court affirmation of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as duly and validly elected Governor of Delta State, the stage is set for Deltans to expect more development in line with the Stronger Delta Vision of the Okowa administration”.

The Political Adviser to the Governor therefore appealed to Deltans to continue to remain supportive of the present administration and shun acts likely to engender divisive tendencies that will bring disunity among the various ethnic groups of the State.
