By Louis Osagu:

A Delta Born Social Media Activist, Former President Students Union Government Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi-uku & the National President of Urhobo Youths Leadership Initiative, Comrade Martins Akpore has described the attack on Nigerians in South Africa as barbaric, satanic, callous, inhumane, dastard and deliberate.

Speaking to newsmen on the incidence yesterday, Comrade Martins said the barbaric and lacklustre attitude of the South African government to the incidence which the whole world can see as displayed in some video clips of the attacks even before the eyes of their policemen “has reinforced the perception that the attack was deliberate and supported by its highest level by the government of South Africa.”.

According to Martins, “this call for sober reflection by all citizens, leaders, politicians and those in government on the need to urgently address the issue of underdevelopment, systems failure, corruption, lack of accountability and maladministration that have worsen the country’s economy which has led to the continuous migration of our citizens in the quest for greener pasture.

He went further to say, the Nation is blessed with the needed Natural Resources to make Nigeria the land of our dreams but leadership failure as kept us in this unfavourable predicament.

While applauding the Federal Government of Nigeria for the action taken so far, a more drastic action should be employed and “made clear to South Africa in clear terms, that Nigerian lives and properties matters to us”.
