The Senate President, Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan was accorded with a rousing reception during his visit to his country home of Gashua in Bade Local Government Area of Yobe State yesterday.

Before arriving his country home in Guasa, Lawan made a stop over at the headquarter of Nguru, Machina and Karasuwa Local Government Area to say thank you to his constituents in Yobe North Senatorial District.

In each of the three Local Government Area he made a stop, Lawan was received by an enthusiastic crowd as he was also honoured with a traditional chieftaincy tittle at the palace of the Emir of Nguru as the “Mukkadam of Nguru ” yesterday.

This is the first home coming of Lawan since his emergence as President of the ninth Senate.
